It is the pledged mission of the San Diego Barona Stars to provide and foster a positive environment for young men who aspire to higher education and/or professional baseball within the framework of competition.

By recognizing the increasing "cutbacks" in interscholastic athletic programs and the diminishing level of supervised athletic programs in the private sector, the San Diego Barona Stars are committed to maintaining a foundation principled on teamwork, goodwill, development of relationships and hard work ethics, with the expressed goal to serve as role models to the youth of America - in sports as well as life in general.
